With a career span of over twenty-six years, Sophie maintains an independent studio practice, creating functional stoneware vessels, fired in her electric kiln in an studio artist cooperative in Brunswick. She sells work through her online store and creates bespoke tableware services working directly with clients. Sophie is also a tutor of wheel-thrown pottery, working predominately with intermediate level students, at ceramic organisations in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. Prior to completing a Diploma of Arts (Ceramics), Sophie studied philosophy and literature, sparking a lifelong interest in the intersection between thought and act. Through pottery she continues these investigations.
